Hello, my name is Destiney Kane. I am currently a senior at Ellsworth High School and a second-year student at Hancock County Technical Center (HCTC) in the Health Occupations program. I have earned my CNA certification and am currently working toward my CRMA. In the fall, I will be attending Empire Beauty School to pursue cosmetology. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, trying new things, and stepping outside of my comfort zone. I am very excited to be part of this team and look forward to making new memories!

Isabella Chang

Hello! My name is Isabella Chang but I go by Izzy for short. I go to Ellsworth High School and currently I am in-rolled in my first year of Education and Human Service at Hancock County Technical Center. For my internship I teach at the caterpillar club house preschool that HCTC provides. I love teaching my students new things and watching them grow to try new things and advance so much. How I keep myself busy is hanging out with my friends or binge watching shows. I really enjoy listening to music and going on walks. Meeting new people is one of my favorite things to do. I am very outgoing and bubbly person. I am very thankful for my teacher who introduced me to skillsUSA. I instantly fell in love with the idea of being a state officer. I didn’t quite know what I was going into but it has been a great experience so far getting to know my team and other people. I have been very ill this year and struggling with a lot but my team has managed to make me feel so welcomed and like a belong.

Hello, my name is Alissa Gross. I'm from Lamoine consolidated school, and I am a second year state officer. I'm also one of the first middle school state officers for skilled USA, Maine! I'm looking forward to going to high school next year and joining HCTC business and hospitality program. I i joined SkillsUSA in fifth grade, and I've been doing it for 4 years.I've loved it so much and has taught me so many new skills that will help me in my future! I do karate, and I just got my black belt.Karate is also helped me learn so many new skills , and I also do band and chorus for lamoine consolidated school. I caint wait to make new memories with a new team!

Rhianna Duval

Hi, my name is Rhianna Duval. I am currently a junior at Mattanawcook Academy, and a first year automotive student at Northern Penobscot Tech Region 3. I have been able to earn my ASE Brakes certification and a spot on the two person team to represent Region 3 at the upcoming Ford Ace Automotive Competition. In my future I want to pursue a career in Automotive Engineering, with a side of hairdressing! I like arts and crafts, physical activities, both indoor and outdoor, spending time with friends and family (especially our pets), stepping out of my comfort zone, and pursuing my dreams! I am so excited to be on this team and be able to create memories together, meet new people and be able to make a difference for SkillsUSA Maine! Fun fact! I love music, I listen to just about every genre, and even right some of my own!

Hello SkillsUSA Maine, my name is Amelia Madigan I am in my first year of college at Eastern Maine Community College for early childhood education. Along with school I spend most of my time working at Summit Learning Center as an assistant teacher. In my free time I like to draw and spend time in nature. I was a past state officer my junior year of high school and I hope to bring the knowledge I gained before to help grow SkillsUSA Maine this year.

Hello my name is Kayla Dandurand, I am a first year state officer I am from Lamoine Consolidated School. I am looking forward to making memories with the SkillsUSA Maine state officer team. I have done SkillsUSA since fifth grade and have been doing it for 4 years. It has taught me many skills that I will use in the future. I have done dance for eleven years. I am part of Lamoine Consolidated School's band and chorus. I have done soccer and softball for the last three years. Can't wait to have an amazing year with my team.

Lily Smith

Hi, my name is Lily Smith and I'm a sophomore from Mount Desert Island Highschool, I am currently in my first year of the Business Leadership And Hospitality program at Hancock County Technical Center (HCTC). For my future I'm really looking into going into cosmetology, hopefully owning my own salon one day! I'm always up for learning new makeup techniques and hairstyles. During the fall and winter I do sideline and competition cheer through my school, I love watching the football and basketball games and cheering on our amazing teams, go trojans! Outside of my school and sports, I love to watch movies, hang out with my friends, and I find myself to be a very creative person. My teacher introduced me to SkillsUSA and I went into my role for competing as a state officer very clueless of what my job was and what I was supposed to be doing, but later on I found out more about what it is to be a SkillsUSA state officer, and i got really excited, even though I wasn't sure what SkillsUSA was in the beginning i still committed to the idea that I was going to have new experiences, meet new people, and make good memories.

Become a State Officer
SkillsUSA Maine State Officers serve the members of our organization as ambassadors, facilitators, and peer mentors. The team participates in leadership development and training throughout the year, providing a unique opportunity for students to develop valuable skills for their future careers.
State Officers play an integral role in the state’s Program of Work, including the JumpStart Conference, the State Leadership and Skills Conference, and other local, state and national events. Officers also have the opportunity to participate in additional leadership development activities, like the Washington Leadership Training Institute, Region One Officer Summit and the National Leadership and Skills Conference.
